New leaflet: Widlife and waterways

wildflower_meadowTo celebrate the Darwin Festival 2011, we've launched a new leaflet in our family friendly rides series. The leaflet 'Wildlife and waterways' shows a seven mile cycle ride exploring hidden places where you can see unusual plants and animals in the heart of Shrewsbury.

The ride follows mostly quiet roads purple-ramping-fumitory-along-river-severnand traffic-free paths and takes in historic waterways around Shrewsbury including the River Severn, the old canal and the Rea Brook.

The leaflet includes information about these waterways and the plants and animals which you might be able to spot along the ride, including kingfishers, goosanders, the purple ramping fumitory and the banded demoiselle damselfly.

Download the leaflet and find out about the other leaflets in the family friendly rides series here.
