Where?
Meet by Porthill Bridge in the Quarry in Shrewsbury at 10.30am
What are the rides like?
The rides will be easy paced and the distance will be decided to suit the riders on each day. We will aim to be back by about 3pm, and there will be time for rest and refreshment stops. The rides will be specially suitable for women who have not cycled for a while or are unsure about the best routes in Shrewsbury; but anyone who would like a gentle social ride is welcome.
What do I need?
All you need is a roadworthy bike, plus a drink and a snack which can be carried in a rucksack or pannier bags (don't hang anything form the handlebars).
Extra ride
On Saturday 4 September we will take our bikes on the Wrexham and Shropshire train to Wellington, leaving Shrewsbury at 12.07pm, and cycle back to Shrewsbury along National Cycle Route 81.
The ride is about 15 miles, the same distance we usually do on the Sunday rides, and we should be back in Shrewsbury by about 4pm. As usual please note the following:

It's free to take bicycles on the train but have to be booked in advance as we are a large group. Please let us know if you would like to join this ride by Friday 27 August.
Numbers are limited to 12 for this ride but if more people are interested we can arrange another date in future.
