Filming our advert... behind the scenes

Family cycling through the Quarry

Last week I went out with a film crew to shoot a 30 second advert for Cycle Shrewsbury, which will be shown at the Darwin Centre between 18 and 24 May 2009. They’ll also be copies of our cycling leaflets and other information, so if you’re in the town centre, why not pop in and have a look?

The most fun part of the day was filming three pupils from Meole Brace School. Often girls stop cycling when they are teenagers, so it was really wonderful to see three teenage girls who still cycle to school on a regular basis and obviously really enjoy it!

We also filmed commuters on Castle Walk, a family in the Quarry and a couple on the disused railway near Sutton Road. Fortunately, it was lovely weather for a bike ride, as you can see from the pictures!

I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who took part!

Watch the advert.

The Quarry

I love cycling in the Quarry, it's so peaceful cycling along the river!
