Discount card terms and conditions

These are the terms and conditions for the Cycle Shrewsbury discount card which is provided to Cycle Shrewsbury members. Find out how to become a member and receive your discount card.

Definitions

'Cycle Shrewsbury' refers to Cycle Shrewsbury and Shropshire Council
'Retailer', 'shop' refers to shops offering discount
'Card' refers to Cycle Shrewsbury members' discount card

The Cycle Shrewsbury discount card is valid at the following shops and mobile bike mechanic companies:

The card is only available to Cycle Shrewsbury members aged 13 and over.
The card should be signed by the Cycle Shrewsbury member. Unsigned cards will not be accepted by the retailer.
The card may only be used by the person to whom it was issued. It is not transferable and no more than one card will be issued to any person.
The card is valid for use until 31 March 2012. Cards may not be used after this date.
Cards with the expiry date of 31 March 2011 will continue to be accepted until 31 March 2012.
The card is not valid if defaced or appears without a valid reference number.
The card remains the property of Shropshire Council.
The holder of the card will receive a 10% discount on selected items at the shops listed above.
The card must be presented to the retailer in order to receive discount.
The card cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotions or special offers.

The discount will not be applied to items outlined below:

The retailers reserve the right to refuse to honour discount at any time for any reason. Cycle Shrewsbury is not responsible if a retailer changes of refuses to offer discount due to new ownership or acquisition.
The card cannot be used when buing bikes or equipment via a tax-free cycle purchase scheme.
Cycle Shrewsbury is not liable for any products or services provided by retailers. No endorsement of retailers is implied by their inclusion in the discount card scheme. Cycle Shrewsbury cannot guarantee the quality of products or services purchased from retailers using the discount card.
The card has no monetary value and cannot be resold.
Lost or stolen cards should be reported to Cycle Shrewsbury immediately via email to cycle.shrewsbury@shropshire.gov.uk or telephone on 01743 253008. Please include details of your name and address. Replacement cards will be issued on request.
Changes of name should be reported to Cycle Shrewsbury via email to cycle.shrewsbury@shropshire.gov.uk or telephone on 01743 253008. Please include details of your old name, new name and address. Replacement cards will be issued.
Data Protection. The personal data you provide to us will be used solely for the purposes of administering the discount card scheme. Your personal data will be retained until the end of April 2012 and will not be passed onto any third parties.
Cycle Shrewsbury reserves the right to change the terms and conditions under which the Cycle Shrewsbury discount card is offered. Any changes to terms and conditions will be published on this website www.cycleshrewsbury.gov.uk
