Cycle Shrewsbury is currently developing a series of family friendly rides leaflets giving you guidance on where to cycle, what bikes to ride and the different types of cycling available.
The leaflets are available to download below or they can be ordered here; they are also available at local visitor information centres, libraries and the reference library.
A 7 mile ride along mostly quiet roads and traffic free paths following historic waterways and exploring places you can see unusual plants and wildlife in the heart of Shrewsbury. The leaflet was launched during the Darwin Festival celebrations in February 2011.

A 10 mile family bike ride which takes you along traffic free roads around the riverside into scenic Shropshire countryside. The ride takes in the Quarry and the Sports Village cycle track which are both excellent locations if you want to cycle with very small children and looking for a safe place for them to ride.

A seven mile cycle ride exploring Shrewsbury's footballing history. The route starts at the Shrewsbury Town Football Stadium on Oteley Road and takes in the sites of 5 of Shrewsbury's former grounds. The leaflet includes some interesting historical facts about each of the grounds. The route is mostly off-road.
